MMU Awards 08



Best Emerging Leader Award = Chinese Language Society
Student Leader of the Year = Chinese Language Society
Cultural Engagement Award = Chinese Language Society
Best Exposition Award = 11th CNYE,Chinese Language Society
Best Culture Based Club = Chinese Language Society

Congratulations to the 11th Chinese Language Society in bagging almost "all awards" in MMU Awards 08. haha..CLSC has never failed in becoming the best culture based club in MMU.

Then again..it has brought me to think, whether, CLSC is really that good or is it bcoz there's no competition among the clubs and societies in MMU? i wonder whether  anyone has the initiative to even think of this matter? Somehow it has been brought to my attention that the activities held are more or less the same throughout the years...no drastic improvement are done(correct me if im wrong). So what are the criterias that the admin of MMU are looking for in the best club? do we really deserve the awards?

It's still an achievement though..so congrats to all of u who made it happen.

Frustration

Sometimes it's hard to defend something that u truly believe in..whether it is religion, dreams, or beliefs, when the people around u condemn more than appreciating them. It comes to a stage where u rather just keep quiet than to talk more about it especially when the debate involve close friends with different kind of mentality. Im trying very hard to accept people as who they are. But it just irritates me when they couldnt be bothered to think of the consequences before going on with the plans. and then they start critisicing when the ideal result doesnt come about. It frustrates me more when people starts criticising my religion and dreams. i will flare up and it might just end the friendship there and then.

It's hard trying to be a nicer and less "meaner" person when the others cant accept you as who u r.
